Because wall tiles have become larger and harder, it is now very demanding on the tile drill when drilling into them. Bosch has therefore developed the EXPERT HardCeramic drill, which can dry drill in hard tiles and clinker and lasts much longer than our standard tile drills.

This specialized hard tile drill uses Bosch Carbide Technology – the hardest metal available – and combines it with an advanced multi-faceted tip design that distributes the load over several asymmetrical surfaces. The complex drill tip has been designed using fine grinding manufacturing techniques and also allows for a precise starting point without the bit slipping or scratching the surface.

The Bosch EXPERT HEX-9 HardCeramic drill bit is designed for drilling in tiles and clinker and can drill holes in hard tiles without lubricant or cooling.
